Music program helps San Diego's homeless youth

Homeless youth learn how to play an instrument and get a hot meal as well.

San Diego’s homeless youth ages 12-24 can learn to play an instrument with free lessons in Photocharity’s “Taking Music and Art to the Streets” program.

The youth can pick one of eight instruments, get instruction, learn art, eat hot meal, receive chiropractic care, clothes, shoes, haircuts (monthly), and social services (ID card, food stamps, health insurance).

Community members need help with 'Cookie' the pup

This young pup was rescued in the nick of time, but still needs help.

A few San Diego community members are asking for help in relocating a dog they rescued from being put down.

Nicholas Moede (aka DJ Nikno) and Angelo Nieves are asking that someone with a loving heart and open home foster or perhaps adopt Cookie, a dog Nieves rescued from the streets after she got hit by a car.

San Diego veterans will sit down to gourmet Christmas dinner

The feast is organized by Fig Tree Cafe, Breakfast Republic and Como Ceviche.

Veterans and their families will enjoy a gourmet meal on Christmas Day thanks to many restaurants who are donating their time and skills to the “The Rise & Shine Restaurant Group Veterans Dinner.”

The San Diego Women’s March is being held in conjunction with The Women’s March on Washington on January, 21, 2017 at 10 am.

This San Diego assembly will contain women, men and children from “all backgrounds, ethnicities, abilities, religions, orientations and political affiliations.”

This holiday charity event will have live music from DJ Tone Capone, Go-go dancers and $3 “u-call-its” from 7 pm to 9 pm. That means anything behind the bar is only $3.
