"HeART in motion" event to benefit Mama's Kitchen

SAN DIEGO -- Just two days before World AIDS Day, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is organizing a special "HeART in Motion" event, benefiting Mama's Kitchen, tonight from 6-9 pm.

The poolside party, taking place at Kimpton's Hotel Palomar, will include art, celebration, a silent auction, food, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. The first-ever event is part of Kimpton's annual Red Ribbon Campaign, which includes employee volunteerism, educational programs, corporate donations and fundraising through special events benefiting local charities.

Mama's Kitchen delivers three nutritional meals a day, seven days a week at no charge to men, women and children living with AIDS or cancer. Additionally, Mama's Kitchen provides pantry services through its Mama's Pantry program to people affected by AIDS. Through these services, the organization is able to serve over 1,300 people annually living throughout San Diego County.

Tickets to tonight's event are $10, with VIP packages ranging from $25 to $500. Those interested in attending can purchase tickets online or at the door.

The Hotel Palomar is located at 1047 Fifth Ave. The event will take place on the hotel's SummerSalt Rooftop Lounge.
