After exploding onto the performance scene by grabbing the Youth Speaks Grand Slam Champion prize, 15-year-old Noah St. John took home NPR's "Snap Judgement Performance of the Year" award with a story about his lesbian moms.
St. John's performance - "The Last Mile" - tells the story of a car ride with his two moms, which ends up being a testament to the family's love for each other.
According to Snap Judgement, the award is particularly appropriate because last year's winner of this very award was St. John's teacher and mentor, Jamie DeWolf. "This year, the student becomes the teacher," wrote Snap Judgement.
