This charity event raises money for The San Diego LGBT Community Center.
The annual amateur drag charity event “Tantrums & Tiaras: Battle of the Bar Queens” has cast their group of contestants for the 2017 event.
The official Facebook page named the line-up on Friday:
Marshall Alexander from #1 Fifth Avenue
Cody from Baja Bettys,
Nick Criscione of Uptown Tavern
Lukas Volk from Urban Mo’s
Madison Kailukaitis of Rich’s, and Josh Ramirez from Flicks.
Every year, courageous individuals representing some of San Diego’s most well-known LGBT hotspots step onto the stage in full drag, some for the first time, to raise money for the San Diego LGBT Center (The Center).
The contestants will work with a professional entertainer to come up with their alternate personalities, make up, drag names, and choreography.
Last year Joey Adams (pictured above) from Gossip Grill took home the crown for his portrayal of Marla Von Tramp.
“I am so happy. This is more than I would have ever asked for - this is so amazing,” Joey told San Diego Gay and Lesbian News immediately after his win.
The competition, which takes place on Sunday, February 19, 2017, will also contain an LGBT ally.
