San Diego remembers Pulse

San Diego will honor the innocent lives lost at Pulse Nightclub one year ago today.

It was one year ago today that the LGBT and Latinx community was rocked by tragedy as word spread around the globe of a lone gunman taking the souls of 49 lives and physically injuring 58 at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando Florida.

Today, The San Diego LGBT Community Center (The Center) will honor those who passed with a candlelight vigil beginning at 6:30 pm.

A year ago, the community met at the San Diego LGBT Community Center for an initial vigil.

Then on June 14, thousands would join in a second one, walking to Pride circle where The San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus paid tribute to the injured and the fallen.

From there the masses of mourners made their way to Rich’s nightclub and listened as the names of each innocent victim were read aloud.

Tonight The Center is again paying tribute to those who fell victim to hate, as people will meet in The Center’s parking lot for a memorial and candlelight vigil.

The names of each innocent victim who died that  night will be read aloud
