A well-known LGBT ally, Colette White will be missed by many in the community.
Grant Foreman who has become synonymous with keeping Hillcrest in shape and is a contributing fitness expert here at San Diego Gay and Lesbian News suffered the unexpected loss of his mother over the weekend.
Grant, who has always been optimistic and supportive in the community could now use your help in this difficult time.
His mother, Colette White, 59, who was a true LGBT ally and was well-known in the community, passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday, September 22.
An outpouring of support and condolences have already been made by the community through social media.
“For as long as I've known Grant I've known Colette (Grants mom), give a day or two,” said Aris Quion on Facebook, “last night we found out that she has since moved on from this world. Every Palm Springs trip, Disneyland day, shopping/lunch date, Tantrums and Tiaras, Nicky Awards, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Babette Christmas show will never be the same without you but we carry you with us always. Love you momma Colette!”
Tyler Helble posted, “Words can’t express the loss of Colette White, the mother of my buddy in crime Grant Foreman. Grant is endlessly optimistic and has been a rock to so many in our community for a very long time. Let’s band together and be a rock for Grant.”
A memorial fund has been set up to help Colette’s surviving family with funeral costs, other bills, balances, and/or future costs.
Lawrence Brown, who started the fund says, “Every little [bit] helps. Colette and Grant have touched many lives with their kindness, love and generosity we can only be too honored to help, we hope you do as well."
