The late Ben F. Dillingham III, who was a decorated Marine captain and tank commander, had his uniforms, medals, dog tags, etc. presented to the Lambda Archives of San Diego by City Commissioner Nicole Murray-Ramirez last week.

In November of 2017, Dillingham passed away from cancer at age 72.

He was one of San Diego's most respected LGBT community and city leaders and also a proud veteran.

The LGBT Veterans Wall of Honor in the San Diego LGBT Community Center was named after him and Bridget Wilson.

A "Celebration of Life" in honor of Dillingham is set for Saturday, January 20 at St. Paul Episcopal Cathedral, 1:00 p.m.
