Here’s why the LGBTQ community Is a waste of your time

"There’s no real reason to hate us. If it’s yourself that you hate, don’t. "

You know, the LGBTQ community is a waste of your time. Seriously. We are so regular. We work. We go to school. We raise families. We fight for what’s good in the world. We go out with friends. We celebrate with family. We’re you.

Wasting time and energy hating us and railing against us and killing us really is just that - a waste of your time.

Hey queers: it’s time for us to ACT UP again

ACT UP proved to be especially significant because of the coalitions it built between different groups in our community around a common issue.

Boston Pride was last week with its signature Pride Parade extravaganza on Saturday.

With over 50 dead and 53 injured, his attack on an Orlando nightclub late last night will go down as one of the worst terrorist attacks on US soil.  The suspect is Omar Mateen whose family came to the US from Afghanistan.

The media is already reporting this attack as “shocking” – it is actually not a surprise. Quite the opposite.
