SAN DIEGO -- The Spreckels Organ Society will launch its 25th anniversary International Summer Organ Festival on Monday, June 25, with a concert by Robert Plimpton, San Diego's civic organist emeritus.
A cherished San Diego tradition, the festival includes a series of evening performances each Monday at 7:30 pm throughout the summer. Concerts feature musicians from around the globe playing on the world-class organ in the heart of Balboa Park.
The free concert series will end Aug. 27 with a grand finale performed by San Diego's current civic organist, Dr. Carol Williams.
Year-round, free organ concerts are also performed every Sunday at 2 pm at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion.
