Out independent music artist and dance club mainstay Jason Walker aims to make 2012 his best year yet. You might not know the out singer-songwriter by name, but if you have experienced the dance scene at all in the past eight years, you have definitely heard his music.
Jason sang his way onto the dance charts in 2004 with the popular dance club hits, “My Life” and “I Can’t Get You Off My Mind,” with the latter reaching number 1 on Logo’s The Click List. At that point in his career, he was signed to dance culture phenomenon, Junior Vasquez’s JVM record label. In 2009, Walker was nominated for an International Dance Music Award.
Since then, Jason broke through the mold of pure dance music to pursue soul and pop as an independent artist, with great levels of success. His album, Leave It All Behind was a “game-changer” for Jason, according to industry insider and radio personality, Larry Flick. This year saw the release of “Raise Your Hands,” now available on iTunes. You can expect to see a lot of Jason Walker through the rest of the year as he prepares to release his new single, “Beat Don’t Stop” and album The Hill, set for a late 2012 release with the aid of OUTMUSIC.
