SAN DIEGO -- As crews work round the clock to get The Range Kitchen & Cocktails moved into its new home at the 1202 University Ave. complex, former home to Eden, the restaurant and nightclub will throw a "Construction Party" over the upcoming Labor Day weekend.
The space's transition, which was announced last week, will include a renovated nightclub space, The Range, and other attractions in the large entertainment complex.
The new owners of the business plan to open the nightclub space every Friday and Saturday night until the proper permits are in place to completely renovate the building, at which time they will close for a short period of time for construction. The Range will reopen this weekend in its new home.
The nightclub portion has not yet been named, and a community naming contest is currently open.
Friday night will include The Range's opening party and floor plan reveal with music by DJ Murphi. Saturday will be the "Construction Party" with "construction go-go dancers" and "demolition servers" with music by DJ Marcel. There will be no cover on both nights with $5 "You Call Its" and $7 premium pours. Doors open at 9 pm.
On Sunday, The Range will open up for its first Sunday brunch in the new space, with specialty construction cocktails.
The Range and the new nightclub space are located at 1202 University Ave. in Hillcrest. For more information, click HERE.
