SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Film Festival, which runs Sept. 26-30, is offering a "Festival Friends" discount offer for those who order five-day festival passes online this week.
The festival, which organizers say will be "bigger and better" this year, includes five days of films, industry panels, red carpet premieres, parties and other special events, taking place at locations in the Gaslamp Quarter and La Jolla.
At a festival launch party held last night at Anthology in Little Italy, Dale Strack, chairman of the San Diego Film Foundation, expressed excitement about this year's festival, noting some of the growth and new features being added. He also said that the festival is now being noticed by "anyone who is anyone" in the film industry as the event has recently received widespread media attention beyond San Diego.
The launch party was organized to give members of the media, supporters and, others a preview of the upcoming festival. After mingling with festival staff and board members, participants were treated to trailers from a few of the films that will be screened.
Attendees who use promo code SDFFVIP at checkout will be able to purchase a VIP Festival Pass for $240, a savings of $60. The pass includes admission to all films, valet parking, access to industry panels and other benefits, including parties, hospitality and more.
The five-day festival pass can be purchased for $140, a savings of $35, using promo code SDFFPASS. This credential includes admission to all films and panels, and access to the opening night premiere and after party.
