SAN DIEGO -- In an effort to encourage holiday shoppers to spend money in Hillcrest, the Hillcrest Business Association (HBA) will again promote its "Shop Hillcrest for the Holidays" campaign through Christmas Eve.

Promotion organizers say that shopping in Hillcrest for the holidays is a fabulous way to support locally owned and operated Hillcrest businesses, and to top it off, every time consumers dine and shop at participating businesses, they'll be entered into a chance to win prizes.

Hillcrest retail shops and restaurants will be offering raffle tickets to customers who purchase items in their establishments throughout the holiday season.

Upon receiving a raffle ticket, shoppers should fill it out the free ticket with the required information. At the end of the holiday season one lucky Hillcrest-shopper will win a "Fabulous Hillcrest" shopping spree worth over $2,500 in Hillcrest gift cards and services.

The campaign runs through 5 pm Monday, Dec. 24.
