The news that a “Will & Grace” reunion was scheduled to happen in 2017, has turned out to be false.

Last week we reported that longtime show regular Leslie Jordan, during an interview at San Diego’s KPBS station confirmed the show would return, but star Debra Messing dashed all hopes of the reboot in a simple tweet she sent out today:

“Sadly Leslie was wrong. Nothing beyond talks.”

Last month rumors began about a ten-episode block of the sitcom from actress Megan Mullally who plays Karen Walker on the show.

She was enthusiastic about a regroup, but wasn’t able to confirm anything at the time.

“Well, OK. All I can say is that there is a very good chance that that might happen,” she said in an interview, “It’s not happening right this second. I mean, we’re not rehearsing or anything like that.

“But there is a very good chance that something is going to materialize.”

The rumors were further fueled by the presidential election campaign in which the stars created a PSA for Americans to get out and vote.

The nearly 10-minute (NSFW) ad reunited the stars in an anti-Trump video campaign.
