In what might be the biggest San Diego LGBT Film Festival in its 20-year history, FilmOut has pulled out all the stops for 2018 and included some of the biggest films for this four-day event.  

“What Happens Next” is usually a question, but in La Jolla Playhouse’s latest WOW installment it’s more of a statement. The Playhouse commissioned the piece, which is being presented in association with Cornerstone Theater Company in Los Angeles.

Last week was another acrylic nail-biter on RuPaul's Drag Race, the girls having to complete a quick look from the contents of a military duffle bag in the mini-challenge then put on a scripted skit for judge Ross Mathews' fictional trash talk show “The Bossy Rossy Show" in the maxi.  Then it was a denim and diamonds look on the runway for special guest judges Carrie Preston and Shania

Although it wasn’t her first career choice, Debby Holiday has become a famous name in the music industry. It runs in her blood. Her father Jimmy Holiday composed the classic song “Put a Little Love in Your Heart,” and R&B legends Etta James and Ray Charles were close friends of her family.

Swedish musician Avicii, aka Tim Bergling, has died according to his publicist Diana Baron. The artist was 28-years old.  

“The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time," Baron said in a statement.

Oh, those touring shows. If it isn’t one damned problem, it’s another – especially when it’s a low-level company in tech rehearsal for a cheesy show called “Nothing On” – and nothing is working right. Lines are botched, cues don’t work right, props wander off, and tomorrow is opening night, so there’s no time for a dress rehearsal.

Playwright Sir Alan Ayckbourn consolidated his reputation with the 1969 comedy “How the Other Half Loves,” and it continues to be an audience favorite wherever it plays. North Coast Repertory’s version is no exception: the run was extended a week (through May 13) before it opened.

RuPaul and World of Wonder have finally gotten on board with the subscription box trend and created their own called "The Drag Box."

Every three months a new box filled with different items will be delivered to your door. They say in a press release the box includes items from around the world curated by your favorite queens.

That’s apparently what some critics are claiming happens in the newest Clearasil ad which depicts a prancing, effeminate man in a pink tuxedo as a developing problem who may ruin a teenager’s chance of going to her prom.
