That defender of opposite-sex marriage, Kim Davis, is going to try and get re-elected to her post as Rowan Kentucky’s County Clerk in 2018.

She has been out of the news lately, but in light of some of the things happening to conservatives in politics lately, this may be one race to sit back and watch.

You may remember the recalcitrant Davis refusing to hand out marriage licenses to same-sex couples after the SCOTUS ruling. She spent a few days in jail for her stubbornness and gained fame as a tool used by the Republican party on the campaign trail.

Recently she visited Romania to spread her same message against marriage equality, meeting with Roman Orthodox Church officials in support of a ban, reports New Now Next.

This will be the first time the 52-year-old will blaze her own campaign trail since the controversy in 2015.
