The Lyfties reveal San Diego's biggest ridesharing destinations.
Lyft revealed its top destinations in San Diego for 2017 and the restaurant most visited is smack dab in the heart of Hillcrest: Urban MO’s Bar and Grill.
In what are called the Lyfties, the ridesharing service calculates the most-visited sites in top cities and publishes those results at the end of the year.
While MO’s took that top spot for restaurant, PB Shore Club was named San Diego’s most visited bar.
“Now that Lyft is accessible to 95 percent of Americans, this is a great occasion to recognize passengers’ top locations across the country for what makes them unique,” said Lyft San Diego Market Manager Hao Meng. “This is the second year we’ve recognized Lyftie winners in San Diego, with a few returning favorites and some new awardees too.”
Hillcrest may be second only to downtown’s Gaslamp district as far as the city’s entertainment and culture hub, but that’s because it has so much to offer says Eddie Reynoso, Marketing and Member Services Director for the Hillcrest Business Association and Founder of the San Diego LGBT Visitors Center.
"Hillcrest has always been known as an international dining destination that is home to nearly 200 restaurants, bars, and coffee shops that serve food and drinks from dozens of cultures around the world." Said Reynoso. "Our local neighborhood economy depends on the thousands of visitors that visit not just from all over the world, but also from throughout San Diego County. When Lyft first launched in San Diego, they chose Hillcrest, and in particular Urban MO's as a partner.
He adds, "I am proud that our neighborhood and our businesses continue to be a top dining, entertainment, and shopping destination in San Diego.”
