Light the Fire at Flicks
First, Jinx is excited about Inferno at Flicks, he's calling it "one crazy party." He says there are going to be new dancers, new things coming up for Flicker this year, and John Joseph is back on the decks, "It's going to be amazing!"
A Returning Favorite!
Techniche Blackout at Rich's is the first Techniche of the year and Jinx urges, "Anyone who is a fan of house music of techno, this is an event you'll love." Jinx says he's been to a few of these dance parties, and "the music is always pumping."
Meet the Hillcrest Town Council!
People who are interested in learning more about the Hillcrest Town Council, this Saturday Hillcrest Town Council's Neighborhood Walk gets underway at 11 am. "They will be all throughout Hillcrest, canvassing, passing out flyers, letting everybody know about the January 9 meeting and just kind of getting to know their neighbors," Jinx says, He adds this would be a perfect time to get out a learn about Hillcrest and see what's going on in our community.
For those with an interest in singing, SDGMC Open Auditions & Info Night Party at the University Christian happens on January 8. "They are actually preparing for their new show called Movie Night which sounds pretty awesome!" Jinx says.
For all of our theatre buffs, get ready for the Breakthrough Workshop Theatre in "The Miscast Review 2018" at Martinis Above Fourth. It is an exciting night of theatre repertoire as you have never seen it before, performed by a dynamic lineup of up-and-coming performers."This is going to be great for anyone who is really into theater and who wants to learn from theater or just wants to experience a great variety show," says Jinx.
Young Professionals Council for a Good Cause
If you guys don't know, the Young Professionals Council loves Mama's Kitchen and on January 9, YPC's First (Second) Tuesday Series at Mama's Kitchen is going to help people after the holidays. "If there still some giving you want to give, this is the perfect event for you. They are looking for things like canned salmon, beans, peanut butter, Spam, canned chicken, canned tuna--basically any proteins that are non-perishable."
