Star of movies I am Michael and The Disaster Artist James Franco doesn’t seem to be in the press talking about his Golden Globe win Sunday for the latter film.

Instead, he has been addressing assertions by five women who are accusing the 39-year-old actor of “sexually exploitive” behavior.

Franco, like hundreds of other Hollywood elite, wore a “Time’s Up” button in solidarity to protest industry sexual misconduct, but some say he shouldn’t have had it on.

“It was like a slap in my face,” said Sarah Tither-Kaplan, a former acting student, and co-star of Francos.

In an LA Times interview Tither-Kaplan, along with four other women, have come forward to call the actor out; one woman said he was her mentor.

Some of the conduct he is accused of is removing a garment that covers an actress’s privates and simulating oral sex during an orgy scene from an un-released movie called "The Long Home."

Franco was recently on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and didn’t exactly deny the allegations.

“Look, in my life I pride myself on taking responsibility for things that I have done,” he told the host. “I have to do that to maintain my well-being. The things that I heard that were on Twitter are not accurate. But I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice because they didn’t have a voice for so long. So, I don’t want to shut them down in any way.”

“If I have done something wrong,” he added, “I will fix it — I have to.”

Franco's lawyer, Michael Plonskerhas said, “the allegations about the protective guards are not accurate.” A casting agent involved in the film says she interacted with the female cast during filming but never got any complaints.

Still another actress named Violet Paley, who worked with the actor tweeted on the night of the Golden Globes, "Cute #TimesUp pin James Franco. Remember the time you pushed my head down in a car towards your exposed penis & that other time you told my friend to come to your hotel when she was 17? After you had already been caught doing that to a different 17 year old?"
