There is still a lot of information our community needs to understand about pre-exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP. And one segment of that group has often been ignored when it comes to analyzing their correlation with the anti-HIV medication.

The California Department of Public Health in conjunction with San Diego County Department of Health and Human Services Agency and Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) are hoping to get more information about the trans community and how they relate to PrEP in a new survey.

The purpose of the questionnaire is to gauge basic level of knowledge of PrEP in the transgender community as well as collect basic demographic and health information.

The results of the survey will better help FHCSD understand how to link trans individuals to PrEP services.

The questionnaire is open to the entire trans community, but their primary target is transgender women.

The survey is available online and will be open at least until the end of February or early March.

You can take the survey, either in English or Spanish, by clicking HERE.
