Stop doing this at the gym!
Have you ever thought these things at the gym or even when just considering working out?
"I don't belong here."
"I'm going to look like an idiot."
"It's just too much work at this point, I should just accept it."
You aren't unique in this; most of us have, and occasionally still do have them.
But this kind of defeating self-talk isn't "speaking sense" in your ear, or even "self-love".
They're lies we tell ourselves to help justify the position we're in, a dangerous placation that just keeps us from bettering ourselves.
Physical health (an able body that moves competently and functions properly) isn't reserved for some and others just get the shaft.
We all are physical beings, and even though this fact is overlooked from grade school well into our adult lives we have the choice to put energy into our own upkeep.
College and careers are so emphasized in America, yet the basic needs of our bodies are written off as either a vanity or froufrou hippy crap.
The tools to healthy lifestyles are all around us just waiting to be utilized.
Don't let your good intentions in fitness be poisoned by this negative internal dialogue.
We all have them.
Now let them go and get back to work!
