Gulls Diversity Night: A night on the ice for a good cause

Diversity Night is at Valley View Casino Center on Saturday, January 20, 2018, as the Gulls take on the San Jose Barracuda at 7 pm. 

The San Diego LGBT Visitors Center (The Center) and the You Can Play Project are excited to share in the celebration of Diversity Night with the San Diego Gulls.

LA Galaxy player and new Target spokesman Robbie Rogers announced this week that he is retiring from sports.

The soccer player who suffered an ankle injury says that his only regret during his career was spending 11 years in the closet. Rogers came out four years ago.

SDSU senate votes to retire Aztec mascot

The Aztec ascot at SDSU may get retired.

San Diego State University's mascot Aztec Warrior may soon be a thing of the past. The University Senate voted a whopping 52-15 to retire the effigy which many find offensive.

A task force will also look into the use of the name “Aztecs.”

The results will now head to the desk of Interim President Sally Roush, where it will await her decision.

Lift like a bodybuilder not powerlifter
