Today only: gas $1.99 per gallon at Carlsbad gas station

Shell station in Carlsbad will offer gas for $1.99 a gallon until 6 pm today.

In an effort to repeal the California Gas Tax initiative, two North County gas stations dramatically cut their prices on gas today.

Although the one Mobil station in Encinitas has put their prices back to normal, there is another in Carlsbad which will sell gas for $1.99 per gallon until 6 pm tonight.

MO's Universe to open new restaurant in Hillcrest

insideOUT will move into the new Eitol (Eye-Toll) Towers located at 1642 University Avenue.

The MO’s Universe Group is adding a new restaurant called insideOUT to the revitalized section of Hillcrest landscape on University Avenue in March 2018. This venture will bring their food service industry and entertainment reach to a total of five in the area.

Video of abusive Texas dog groomer goes viral

Brooke Vowers of Katy, Texas owns the black and white dog that was subject to the groomers aggressive technique and posted the captured evidence given to her by another customer on Facebook saying:

A Facebook video has gone viral of a Texas PetSmart groomer being abusive to her canine client during an appointment on Thursday.

The unsettling video has now been watched over 370,000 times and depicts the aggressive groomer yanking the dogs head violently by its ear several times while holding a pair of scissors in her other hand.

Newest SD Pride executive director resigns, Fernando Lopez poised to take over

Fernando Lopez will more than likely step in as interim executive director of San Diego Pride.

San Diego Gay and Lesbian News has learned that the new executive director of San Diego Pride, Eric Heinritz (pictured left),  has resigned and current Director of Operations, Fernando Lopez Jr. will more than likely be the interim executive director, eventually taking over the role officially. 

There is no formal word as to why Heinritz is stepping down.
