Third trans woman death in Louisiana; second in three days

Ciara McElveen was stabbed to death in Louisiana on Monday.

Louisiana has yet another trans murder case on its hands.

Transgender woman Ciara McElveen, 21, was stabbed to death on Monday.

This is the state's third trans homicide, two having been carried out in the Creole State in the past three days. 

Missing person Jake Roberson's body found in LA lake

Jake Roberson was last seen on January 13, 2017.

San Diego Gay and Lesbian News (SDGLN) is getting word today that the body of one time Hillcrest resident Jake Roberson, 30, was found by a fisherman in Pyramid Lake Falls, about 58 miles north of Los Angeles.

Popular trans performer gunned down in Louisiana street

Chyna Doll Dupree was shot 10 times in the streets of Louisiana on Saturday.

A popular performer who also happens to be transgender, Chyna Doll Dupree (AKA Chyna Gibson) was shot and killed in the streets of New Orleans East on Saturday.

The performer was visiting from Los Angeles to take part in Mardi Gras celebrations in Louisiana.

Police say Dupree was shot several times at approximately 8:30 pm, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

JCPenney to close 140 stores

In the latest downsizing of historical department stores, J.C. Penney has announced they will shutter as many as 140 stores and alleviate approximately 6,000 jobs.

The revocation of federal guidelines put in place by Barack Obama to protect transgender men and women who want to choose which the restroom they use.
