SACRAMENTO — Judge David Rubin, a former veteran prosecutor and current four-year member of the San Diego County Superior Court bench, was elected the California Judges Association's 80th president this week.
Rubin, 53, will be sworn into a one-year term on Sept. 18. He will replace the current president, San Bernardino County Superior Court Judge Keith Davis.
Rubin will be the first openly gay president of the CJA. He is married to Todd Stevens, a partner with the San Diego law firm of Keeney, Waite & Stevens.
