SDGLN Poll: Readers would marry elsewhere while Proposition 8 remains tied up in court

A large majority of readers of San Diego Gay & Lesbian News who took our poll say that they would wed in a state or a nation that offers marriage equality since Proposition 8 remains in legal limbo in California.

Our poll question was: With Proposition 8 in legal limbo, would you get married in a state or nation that offers marriage equality?

The results, which are not scientific, reveal that 76% of readers say that they would wed elsewhere, while 17% say they would not. Another 7% say that same-sex marriage is not for them.

The SDGLN Reader Poll is open for voting for seven consecutive days. A new poll question will debut each Monday.

This week’s poll question asks readers: When on vacation, I prefer to stay: At LGBT-friendly lodging; or at the most convenient location?
