"Active shooter" in custody after marathon scare

Police have a female shooting suspect in custody.

[UPDATE: 

Police have released the name of the shooting suspect as 58-year-old Mona Elease Williams. They say it started out as a hit-and-run. As they attempted to pull Williams over, she drove into a parking garage at C Street between Second and Third.

Brick Bar in Hillcrest liquor license suspended until late June

Brick Bar is located at 1475 University Ave.

The Brick Bar on University Avenue has temporarily lost its liquor license according to a public notice from the Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) posted on the door.

The sign says the ban is from Thursday, May 31 to June 20, 2018. San Diego Gay and Lesbian News reached out to owners to try and determine why the license was suspended, but we have not yet received a comment.

Some Starbucks will close today for anti-bias training

Some Starbucks locations nationwide will close for sensitivity training today.

You’re probably going to have to find your afternoon coffee elsewhere today. If you go to Starbucks you may find it closed because they are taking part in a nation-wide anti-bias training program at 2 pm.

San Diego may owe you part of its $1.2 million of unclaimed cash

San Diego has thousands of dollars in unclaimed cash and it could be yours.

The City of San Diego  is currently trying to give back $1.2 million in unclaimed funds. The money comes from checks that were returned because the addresses were invalid reports ABC 10. 

The amount of the refunds range from as little as $1 to $30,000.
