SD Pride Parade is the largest single-day civic event

The mayor said San Diego is coming off the best tourism year ever and these two events continually offer the best the city has to offer.

San Diego Pride Parade draws more people than Comic-Con each year and generates millions of dollars to the local economy. The parade sees an estimated 200,000 people; Comic-Con, 135,000. 

Mayor Kevin L. Faulconer and other community leaders including Councilmember Chris Ward discussed how these two major annual events are important for the city’s economy.

San Diego housing market forecast looks bleak by 2020

Families and seniors are being pushed out of California.

A report released by the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Greater San Diego Association of Realtors shows that affordable housing isn't going to get any better in the next three years.  

Both groups created a "Housing Scorecard" that revealed the impact on the housing market will grow bleaker by the year 2020, especially for families and senior citizens.

The 7-Eleven convenience store across from the Pride flag in Hillcrest was robbed at gunpoint on Saturday, the suspect taking away an undisclosed amount of cash.

CA hate crimes increase for second year in a row

Sexual orientation accounted for a 10-percent increase; 207 last year, about three-quarters of those involved gay men.

California experienced an increase in hate crimes, about 11-percent, in 2016. This is the second consecutive year the state has experienced an increase, but that number is still lower than a decade ago reports The Associated Press.

Very disturbing flyers left in Little Italy

Mysterious and disturbing flyers are once again being left around Little Italy according to a concerned resident who found one attached his front door this past Thursday.

The makers of the circular discuss how they are "killing off the entire white race" by using poisoned-laced drugs. It even makes reference to the Holocaust and the mass killing of Jews. 

Man attempts to abduct child in City Heights area

It happened on Tuesday in the 3600 block of Ontario Avenue in City Heights reports ABC 10.  

Police took a man into custody after he was suspected of attempting to kidnap a young boy and hiding him in his truck.
