Missing tourist's body washes up on Mission Beach

An Arizona tourist who was reported missing three weeks ago, was found on Sunday, her decomposed body washed up on the shore in Mission Beach.

Dental records confirmed that she was Amanda Cruse, 30, a tourist who was last seen on Feb. 19.

Her body was discovered on Sunday afternoon at 3900 Ocean Front Walk in Mission Beach.

Cruse arrived in San Diego on Saturday, Feb 18, and was reported missing on Feb. 21.

According to the missing person's report, Cruse, or "Mandy" as she was known, drove from Arizona to San Diego by herself. She planned on staying in Sunset Cliffs until Monday. 

Surveillance footage showed that she left her Point Loma hotel at 4:30 am Sunday. 

 Her cause of death was not revealed on Tuesday.
