In a bizarre story that takes place right here in San Diego a woman claims that she has married the Santa Fe Station downtown and equates her matrimony to that of being gay.

Carol Santa Fe, is the 45-year-old woman who has become an on-line oddity recently after several news stories ran articles on her claims that she tied the knot with the historic train station.

“Most people know this building as the Santa Fe Depot, but I know her as my friend, my life partner, my wife, Daidra Santa Fe,” she said.

The Mirror reports that Carol visits her “wife” everyday, taking a bus to the depot in order to spend time with the structure.

“I have been in love with the station since I was a young girl.”

She also says the non-legal nuptials took place in 2015, in what she says was, “the happiest day of our lives”

As for what she would classify herself sexually, she says it’s called “Objectum.”

“Objectum sexuality is not a mental illness like the media always makes out," she said. “It is our sexuality, just like being lesbian or bisexual – we are not crazy.”

Carol has also named the station Daidra and she says her affair has allowed her to experience love for the first time.

“Daidra has been the most stable partner I have ever had. I have had the time of my life being her wife,” Carol says.“I used to be scared of being in love with humans, but I’m not scared with Daidra.

She adds: “I could never love another train station – she is the one.”
