A Southern California highway is poised to be named after former President Barack Obama.
State lawmakers have approved a bill to name a portion of 134 through Glendale, Eagle Rock and Pasadena as President Barack H. Obama Freeway reports Fox 5.
Governor Jerry Brown is expected to sign the bill.
The location is in honor of Obama’s attendance at Occidental College which is located in that area in which he spent his freshman and sophomore years.
A plaque now honors the former president at a Pasadena home where he stayed while he was a student in 1981.
