He doesn't believe she'll go up against him, but it would be "a lot of fun."
The Oprah for President movement has reached the White House with President Trump responding to reports that Oprah is “actively thinking” about entering the 2020 presidential race.
“Yeah, I’ll beat Oprah,” he said at a presser on Tuesday. “Oprah would be a lot of fun. I like Oprah.”
Trump says he doesn’t think she going to run, and that he knows her “very well.”
The president then refers to himself in the third person saying he appeared on her program during its last season
“You know, I did one of her last shows. She had Donald Trump—this was before politics—her last week. And she had Donald Trump and my family. It was very nice.”
Oprah was the highlight of the Golden Globes this past Sunday wherein she gave a rousing acceptance speech for her Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement, “For too long, women have not been heard or believed if they dare speak the truth to the power of those men. But their time is up. Their time is up.”
