Pride tickets go on sale

SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego LGBT Pride festival is coming up quickly and along with it are some special ticket prices.

The festival - “One World, One Heart, One Pride” - will be held July 17 and 18 at Marston Point in Balboa Park. The mile-long parade will wind down University Avenue to Sixth in Hillcrest, starting at 11 a.m. July 17.

Pride officials have announced the option to purchase two-day festival passes while also extending the time period that all tickets can be purchased at the discounted rate.

Festival-goers who purchase their tickets now through 11:59 p.m. July 16 will receive the reduced ticket price of $15 for a one-day pass or $25 for a two-day pass. Tickets can be purchased at the gate for $20 for the one-day pass and $30 for the two-day pass.

“Especially when most of us are carefully watching our budgets, the two-day passes allow visitors to enjoy a broader range of entertainment and other festival highlights over the course of Pride weekend,” said Larry Ramey, Pride board co-chair.

“ And by extending the deadline for early-bird rates, it provides the community ample opportunity to take advantage of prices that existed two years ago,” he said.

Tickets are available at www.SanDiegoPride.org.
