SAN DIEGO -- The world's leading online GLBT travel resource -- gaytravel.com -- is teaming up with a popular social media platform and the organizers of one of the most sought after gay travel weeks in the country for an exciting new promotion.
This year marks the 35th anniversary of Aspen Gay Ski Week.
The promoters behind the ultimate winter destination for gays and lesbians is teaming up with Grindr, the úber popular location-based mobile social media app for gay men, to offer one lucky follower of gaytravel.com a free winter dream vacation.
All you have to do is go to the gaytravel.com website and sign up for the newsletter.
The winner will receive lift tickets and ski rentals, a $300 per person airfare credit, two Aspen Ski Week VIP tickets, and three nights of hotel accommodations in Aspen.
Grindr sent out a pop-up blast to its 2 million-plus followers last week to help advertise the contest that will allow site visitors to sign up on the gaytravel.com website through November 18.
According to Joey Konececk, Public Relations Coordinator of the Del Mar-based organization, gaytravel.com is working on many new initiatives that will help align themselves with not only media but large scale GLBT travel and sporting events around the country.
This is the first time the GLBT travel website has entered into a cross-promotion of this kind, but there will be many more such promotions, said Konecek, who joined the company earlier this year to assist with their marketing strategy.
Konecek also said they will start becoming much more visible and national high profile GBLT based events, and recently showed a presence at both Vegas and Anaheim Gay Days.
