During this inaugural weekend, Girl Bar will take over several venues that belong to the Caesar's Entertainment Corporation for their ultimate lesbian party weekend.

Founded in 1990 by Dr. Robin Gans and Sandy Sachs in Los Angeles, Girl Bar was designed as an upscale lesbian nighclub experience, and has been a successful weekly destination for well over two decades.

Girl Bar eventually also began entertaining thousands of women in another desert oasis -- the Coachella Valley in California -- more specifically, Palm Springs.

This year co-founders Gans and Sachs joined forces with Truck Stop Girls and decided to trade in those old, familiar venues for the high desert and are looking forward to making years of memories in their new host city.

"Why Vegas? Why Not!?" Gans recently told San Diego Gay & Lesbian News. "After 21 years in Palm Springs, we've moved to the city that never sleeps and we don't have to do another party in a ballroom, ever again."

Gay friendly properties and much more

"We've got wonderful venues," Gans said. "Caesar's [Entertainment] is very pro-gay, and there will be no need for decorating, which is something completely different for us.

"We're getting a great response," she said.

She's not exaggerating about the social stance of the biggest hotel/casino developer in the country, owning properties and brands not only found in Las Vegas, but Lake Tahoe, Atlantic City, New Orleans, as well as Biloxi and Tunica, Mississippi.

In fact, Caesar's Entertainment is ranked 100% on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC)'s Corporate Equality Index for 2012 and is also listed as one of the best places to work for LGBT employees.

After months of being wooed by this casino giant, Gans and Sachs knew this was an opportunity they just could not pass up. With Caesar's long list of properties in the city that never sleeps, there will always be something to do.

Gans literally gushed explaining the wildlife habitat found on the grounds of the one-time cornerstone of the Strip; a property that Bugsy Siegel named after his lady love, Virginia Hill, when he opened the Flamingo 65 years ago. The habitat aptly includes a flock of Chilean flamingos. How gay is that?

The Flamingo property will be the cornerstone of the weekend, too; although the fun will be also be spread across a number of other popular hotels in the entertainment group, including the Rio, Treasure Island, Paris, Planet Hollywood and even Caesar's, itself.

All participating hotels (except Rio) are within walking distance and there will be a shuttle available to the Rio from both Bally's and the Imperial Palace. It is also just a short $8. cab ride away, allowing ladies to double and triple up to save a few bucks.

One of the extra things weekend pass attendees will receive, is automatic enrollment into Caesar's Total Rewards Program. Each card holder can claim passport discounts at all locations, including malls inside of the hotel properties, and more long after they leave Dinah Shore Weekend.

Fun forward line-up

Friday's official kick-off will be held at the top of the Rio Hotel, in the Voodoo 50, a double-decker nightclub, featuring an open-air deck and dancing under the stars with views of the beautiful Las Vegas Strip, 50 floors below. For those who might not find that appealing, there is an attached indoor lounge with alternative yet equally magnificent views.

The night starts with a VIP Cocktail event at 9 pm, followed by BLING, a dance event that lasts until the wee hours of the morning, finally shutting down at 4 am.

"The city really sells itself," said Gans. "It has everything to offer and no last calls. Our hope is that you really enjoy the city and have fun in the casinos, too."

The Saturday GO Pool Party will be hosted by Fernanda Rocha of The Real Housewives of Orange County, and held at the Beach Club Pool at the fabulous Flamingo and it will be sponsored by GO Magazine. NOTE: There is also a pool at the Flamingo called "the GO Pool," this is not the pool the Dinah Shore Weekend event is using.

There will be a special live performance by "The Voice" finalist, Beverly McClellan during the pool party. Beverly was GLAAD's Artist of the Year for 2011 and we'll have an interview with her later this week, so stay tuned.

As usual, throughout the day the party will also be filled with plenty of Go-Go girls and bois from both Girl Bar and the Truck Stop Girlz, as well as your favorite Los Angeles DJs, including Mikey Bryant from The Abbey, Cynful of Girl Bar, Ivy from Truckstop fame. Check to see if there are any cabanas left for you and your crew.

If you dry off soon enough Saturday afternoon you can scoot over to Treasure Island, where Girl Bar is hosting a Red Stiletto Poker Tournament. For just $150 you will get 8000 chips!

Saturday night has several options to keep you busy.

First off, Frank Marino's long-running show DIVAS has been a Vegas staple for decades. Frank and a cast of impersonators take on dozens of celebrities for a great show, starting at 10 pm at the Imperial Palace. Are you in the military? Tickets are slashed so make sure you mention that.

Next you can attend the infamous PEEPSHOW with Holly Madison from the Girls Next Door, and it's called "the hottest show on the strip." This one begins at 10:30 pm at Planet Hollywood.

On Saturday night you can also dance under the stars again AND the Eiffel Tower, when you attend Gurlesque at the Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at Paris Hotel. This nightclub has two stories, and includes an outdoor dance area, a Parisian garden, six bars, and more great views of the Strip.

Sunday you can relax, do a little gambling, hit your hotel pool, grab brunch at any of the fabulous properties, and then get fully rested and ready for the final closing party.

Sunday night starting at 8 pm head over to Cleopatra's Barge at Caesar's Palace, where they will be hosting the Last Chance Dance. More dancing, Go-Gos and great DJs to close the weekend down.
