SAN DIEGO -- Bishop Mary Glasspool of the Diocese of Los Angeles will be marching with the contingent from St. Paul's Cathedral at the San Diego Pride Parade on Saturday, July 21.
St. Paul's has long marched in the parade, and invites community members to join the contingent this year.
"St. Paul's contingent in San Diego's Pride Parade is a chance to be part of a powerful witness for inclusion to more than 150,000 who will cheer us on. With more than 100 marchers, St. Paul's is known for one of the largest contingents - let's do it again! Gay, straight, friends, family, kids, strollers-all are invited to join the fun," said a statement by Integrity Circle at St. Paul's.
Participants should meet at 10 am July 21 at St. Paul's, and then they will walk to the starting point near University Avenue and Normal Street. After the parade, participants are invited to a barbecue at the church.
