This highly anticipated yearly eight-day event also gives back to the community.
The 13th Annual San Diego Restaurant Week (SDRW) returns Sunday, September 24 through Sunday, October 1 and this year it's going to be tastier than ever with over 180 reasons to get out of the house and experience some of the best places to eat in America's Finest City.
Participating restaurants will offer three-course prix-fixe dinner menus for $20, $30, $40 or $50 per person and/or two-course prix-fixe lunch menus for $10, $15 or $20 per person. These restaurants span across the county from the South Bay to East County and to the North borders of Oceanside and Fallbrook.
There is a bigger aspect to this highly anticipated yearly event beyond enjoying some great food.
Some dining events throughout the country are for-profit, but SDRW and the San Diego County Chapter of the California Restaurant Association are community centered and generate funds that go back into the community to support a wide variety of culinary arts and garden programs throughout San Diego’s inner-city schools.
Food 4 Kids Backpack Program, which provides backpacks of food for chronically hungry elementary school students to take home over the weekend, have shown the true reach of SDRW’s ability to utilize one week of dining to transform the lives of those in our community.
Now is your time to dine with over 150,000 fellow diners to celebrate San Diego's thriving culinary scene. Tickets are not necessary for this delectable week of discounted dining, but reservations are recommended!
