The holidays are a great time to get out and see a live show, and San Diego has one of the best venues right in Hillcrest at Martinis Above Fourth (MA4).

This month and through December MA4 is bringing you some of the most recognized celebrities who will entertain audiences with comedy, music or a variety of both.

UPDATE: Chi Chi Rones and Jo Anna were scheduled to perform on Tuesday, November 14, but that event has been canceled. This article has been updated to reflect that.

November 16 get intimate with An evening with Kevin Mahogany.

Mahogany's broad baritone was forged in his hometown: the legendary jazz metropolis known as Kansas City; where he learned to swing like Charlie Parker, shout the blues like Big Joe Turner, and cry a ballad like Lester Young; while, extending, elaborating and refining the jazz vocal legacies of Lambert, Hendricks & Ross, Eddie Jefferson and Al Jarreau into the myriad, interwoven dimensions of music – from gutbucket, the Great American Songbook, and gospel, to Mingus to Motown.

Then get ready for Randy Rainbow on November 21 and 22.

Randy is a comedian, actor, writer, host and Internet sensation best known for his viral comedy videos. His popular series of political spoofs and musical parodies have garnered international acclaim and hundreds of millions of views. Dan Savage called him “the best thing to come from the GOP race” and his musical tribute to the first presidential debate of 2016 (“BRAGGADOCIOUS!”) received 28 million views in its first two days. He was subsequently asked by the cast of TV’s Will & Grace to parodize a song which they performed during a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton.

Jonathan Karrant takes the stage on November 28 in “A Song for You.”

In this show, Jonathan brings to you his high energy “Vegas set” filled with crowd pleasers from the Jazz, Pop, and R & B genres. Singing with a smooth sound, soulful chops and a charming persona that captivates audiences. You’re sure to be thrilled by this engaging young singer, whether he’s singing classic selections of the American Songbook or bringing his own jazzy twist to a contemporary song. Jonathan is a San Diego favorite!

The caustic comedy of Courtney Act kicks off the holiday season with “Lump of Coal”

On November 29 and November 30, the diva from Down Under has wrapped up all your favorite holiday tunes, as well as a few non-denominational pop favorites, to help you make the yuletide even gayer.

So fasten the seat belts in your sleighs because this ain’t your mamma’s church choir concert! (Mistletoe sold separately).

And the annual fundraising event Charity Wreath Auction starts December off by giving back.

This is the 14th Annual Charity Wreath Auction which is being held on Monday, December 4. This fun, fabulous and famous night is always packed so we hope you’ll plan on joining us this year!

So there you have it: A full line-up of entertainment through December 4 to kick off your holiday.

As friends and family starting making their way to San Diego, show them a good time and explore the heart of Hillcrest beginning with one of the live shows listed above. They may never want to leave.

Martinis Above Fourth is located at 3940 Fourth Ave, San Diego, CA 92103.
