The San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus is taking you to the cinema this weekend in a concert they are calling “Movie Night.”

It’s going to be a night of nostalgia as the men’s vocal journey takes listeners through some the most beloved movie songs on celluloid, from Grease to Sister Act to Shrek.

These classics will never get old, but recently Hollywood has re-invigorated the ears of theater-goers with modern tunes that will become indelible in the American songbook. SDGMC have added these tunes to their playlist for the evening including music from Oscar winner La La Land and the Hugh Jackman showstopper The Greatest Showman.

Ticketholders can expect a few surprises because the chorus not only sings the hits they bring them to life with fun costumes and choreography.

For 32 years the SDGMC has been entertaining sold-out audiences with their incomparable sounds. Their talent not only brings audiences to their feet, but also helps bring awareness to community issues to encourage social change.

Recently their efforts caught the attention of pop superstar Demi Lovato who invited them to perform alongside her during her San Diego tour stop.
