Nothing gets past social media so when the CEO of one of the biggest engines in the field decides to tweet his receipt from a notoriously anti-gay restaurant, the LGBT community and their allies take notice.

It all started when the CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey took a screenshot of his new Cash app. That wasn’t the problem, the problem was the establishment at which he was using it was Chick-fil-A.

It being Pride month, some took offense and called him out

Wrote Soledad O'Brien, "This is an interesting company to boost during Pride month, @jack"

And Sarah Burris typed, "mmmm hate chicken never tasted so homophobic."

Writer and director Adam Goldman said, "On behalf of the whole LGBTQ community, Jack, kindly boost your head out of your ass."

The backlash went on so long that Dorsey eventually apologized, “You’re right. Completely forgot about their background.” But he has yet to get rid of the tweet.

But notorious gay marriage detractor Marco Rubio thinks the whole thing is ridiculous: "This lunacy has gone too far. The CEO of @Twitter bullied into apology for patronizing @ChickfilA because owners support “biblical definition of marriage”. Holding a personal view taught by mainstream Christianity is now boycott worthy," he wrote on Twitter.
