A new policy brief released ahead of Tax Day calculates that the federal government spends nearly $300 billion per year in federal contract dollars on projects performed in states that have not yet passed laws to protect LGBT Americans from workplace discrimination.
"These documents show that a policy of discrimination is not just out of touch with the rest of America, it is out of touch with its own members, too," said Zach Wahls, an Eagle Scout and executive director of Scouts for Equality.
