Anti-hate rally to be held in Hillcrest under Pride flag this weekend

United Intersections of Justice Rally to be held on Sunday, Aug. 20 from 4 pm to 5 pm

It what is becoming a united front against hate and racism in America, several cities have organized rallies in protest of the violent and deadly white supremacist march that occurred in Charlottesville over the weekend.   

On Sunday, August 20, San Diegans will gather in Hillcrest for the United Intersections of Justice Rally against Hate.

Pedestrian on scooter hit in Hillcrest on University

Scooter and vehicle collision in Hillcrest on Saturday.

In what seems to be a rash of accidents involving pedestrians in Hillcrest last week, another one was reported over the weekend, this time involving a man on an electric scooter.

Pedestrian trapped underneath car in Hillcrest

Pickup gets rear-ended and piles on top of jaywalker

In Hillcrest this afternoon a pedestrian is reportedly trapped under a car at Tenth and University Avenue.

Eyewitness Chris Sweeting tells San Diego Gay and Lesbian News a speeding green Chevy truck was traveling east on University and ran a red light. It then struck a stopped silver Nissan on its front left side waiting in the intersection.

Hit-and-run in Hillcrest leaves man with serious injuries

Hit-and-run in Hillcrest leaves a homeless man seriously injured.

Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck a man on University Avenue in Hillcrest late Thursday evening.

Law enforcement say the victim appears to be homeless and was jaywalking near Richmond Street in front of the Starbucks.

The driver fled the scene after hitting the man police say.

In a social media post on Monday, Mankind reached out to their followers asking for suggestions on a new name.
