The Center to present forum on PrEP

The San Diego LGBT Community Center's #BeTheGeneration program will host an interactive panel discussion about PrEP, the once-daily pill that prevents HIV infection, on Monday, March 20 from 6:30-8 pm.

New initiative aims to stop HIV infections in San Diego County

A new HIV case is diagnosed in the region every 18 hours.

The County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved an initiative to get the number of new HIV infections in San Diego to zero. With the vote, the Board directed the County Health and Human Services Agency to begin implementing the Getting to Zero initiative and put an end to the epidemic in the region.

People shared all sorts of information, much of it incorrect, and using that information to tell others how to live their lives.

The Center to offer expanded HIV testing hours

Testing will be conducted by staff of The Center who are trained HIV-testing counselors and part of the organization's #BeTheGeneration [to end HIV] team.
