This week we have some laughs, Pride and goodbyes.

So let's kick this column off with some laughs.

"Numbers" nightclub closing for good on September 10

Numbers nightclub is closing for good on Sept. 10

Hillcrest is going to be short one bar come September, “Numbers” is closing its doors forever.

Located on the fringe of Hillcrest and North Park the nightclub was host to many events, including Karaoke night, “Uncut," and the popular Bear Night. 

The San Diego Golden Girls return!

Apollonia Diamond will perform at Numbers with The San Diego Golden Girls.

Those fabulous ladies of the stage, The San Diego Golden Girls are returning to the limelight at Numbers on Saturday, February 11.

This will be their first show of the year and they have quite an entertaining line-up scheduled.

For this season-opener they welcome guest star Melissa Stratman, “The Shining Star of Palm Springs,” with Apollonia Diamond, and Barbie Z.

Gay Pride in San Diego is over, it’s now time for Nerd Pride! Yes, Comic-Con 2016 is upon us already.

Here’s a list of geeky events happening this weekend in and around the gayborhood:

Thursday, July 21

Mr., Ms., Miss Gay Pride San Diego 2015 titleholders crowned

Sixteen community members competed in the 3 categories, answering the question: "What does Pride mean to you?" Contestants also wore attire that represented their "pride" and were asked to explain their outfit to the judges.

Winners of the contest, which takes place just a week before the annual San Diego Pride celebration, will have the opportunity to represent the San Diego LGBTQ community in a number of ways and participate in charitable service projects to benefit those in need.
