Trans woman stabs man in Balboa Park, police report

Transgender female allegedly stabs male in Balboa Park according to police.

Police are on the lookout for a transgender female who stabbed a man in Balboa Park on Thursday, March 16 just before 7 pm. 

It happened underneath the Cabrillo Bridge on the 900 block of El Prado in the historic park.

Police tell San Diego Gay and Lesbian News, the 42-year-old male victim had a verbal argument with the assailant who he said was “transitioning to female."

Louis Cedarholm, 29, entered a North Park auto shop and assaulted a man with a hammer 13 times to the head.

A brutal attack on Monday which left a victim in critical condition has led to the arrest of a suspect.

The assault took place at Jack’s Muffler Service on University Avenue near Mississippi Street in North Park Sunday evening.

Vandal goes on windshield-smashing rampage in Hillcrest this afternoon

Multiple cars parked along University were damaged when a man began smashing windshields with a rock.

Many vehicles were damaged this afternoon when a vandal began smashing the windshields of parked cars at the 900 block of University Avenue in Hillcrest.

The suspect, Owen McHugh, a man police describe as being in his 30’s, approximately 5’10” with a thin build, was located immediately after officers arrived on the scene.

Two police officers shot in the area of Acacia and 37th Street

Reports are coming in that two officers have been shot in Acacia Grove.

Reports are coming in that two police officers have been shot in the area of Acacia Grove Way and 37th Street.

About 11 pm on Thursday night, two suspects were reported to have engaged in a shootout with police officers.

The shooter is still on the loose and both officers have been taken to the hospital.

It is still unclear if there is more than one suspect.

Rally to support San Diego Police to be held in Balboa Park today

San Diego Police Department kept over 100,000 Pride-goers safe over the weekend.

The recent attacks on police officers, first in Dallas and now in Baton Rouge, have caused concern over the safety of our law enforcement officials.

There will be a rally in Balboa Park at noon today. The community is encouraged to come out and support the men and women of law enforcement not only for San Diego, but across the country.
