Balboa Park's House of France, along with many other houses in the House of Pacific Relations organization, is sponsoring a holiday toy drive. They are collecting new, unwrapped toys at their location to donate to Toys for Tots.
The toy drive kicked off Nov. 8 and runs through the International Christmas Festival, the highly anticipated culinary portion of Balboa Park's annual December Nights celebration on December 4 and 5. As a special thank-you, the first five donors bringing toys to the House of France on December 4 or 5 will receive a coupon for a free crêpe and onion soup that very night.
The mission of the House of France is to present a flavor of France and provide visitors with an opportunity to interact with French people or Francophiles. Every year, the house of France organizes open houses, children's club activities, an Easter Egg Hunt, Crêpe Day, Annual Picnic, and Santa's visit, and participates in lawn programs, the Ethnic Food Fair, and December Nights.
The House of France is open the first and second Sundays of each month, from noon to 4 p.m.
