OUT for Work (OFW), organizer of the nation's only non-industry specific career conference program for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Ally students, announced today its frothiest fundraiser to date, “A-Latte-A-Day – For 30 Days”.
The fundraiser generously replaces your daily latte with a donation to OUT for Work. 100% of the proceeds will help fund 2010 programs. The goal is to reach 5,000 lattes!
There are three different sizes of lattes, Grande, Tall, and Short. Each latte has a different cost and in exchange for support, donators will receive free gifts that range from free bags, mugs, and teddy bears to recognition in the OUT for Work conference program.
Since there is a goal of 5,000 lattes, OFW asks that folks take this opportunity to e-mail your own contact lists and commit to assisting in the selling of lattes. If everyone forwards on the information, then in the end, together, we will be able to reach our goal. Also, don’t forget that all donations are tax deductible and make great holiday gifts.
OFW functions as a complimentary component in the development, evaluation, initiation, and implementation of career plans and opportunities for LGBTQ students. OFW’s programs, resources, and services provide assistance to students in the cultivation and enhancement of skills to explore career options, master job search techniques and strategies, and research employment opportunities.
In addition to OUT for Work’s annual National and Regional West Coast Conferences, OUT for Work presents on the topic of transitioning from academia to the workforce, attending PRIDE and LGBTQ events, and visiting college campuses speaking to LGBTQ campus groups.
