SAN DIEGO – The Mama’s Day fundraiser for Mama’s Kitchen over the weekend was a huge success.
The 19th annual event was nothing short of spectacular and featured 71 of San Diego’s top chefs along with music, mingling and delicious food.
The proceeds from the event go directly to support Mama’s Kitchen in its constant work to aid those with AIDS and cancer.
Local news personality and host for the evening, Vic Salazar, discussed that every single one of the restaurants volunteered their time, staff and all of the food that they prepared.
Timothy Ralphs, Chef d’ Cuisine at Estancia Hotel and Spa, made a dish for the event.
“The food I create helps raise excitement for Mama’s Kitchen and helps bring in more money for the event and for the cause,” Ralphs said.
Guests enjoyed participating in a silent auction, bidding on great wines in the wine vault and an opportunity drawing.
“It is great being involved in such a good cause and having the ability to give back to the community,” Ralphs said.
