LGBT leader in Mexico found beaten to death
CHILPANCINGO, Gro., Mexico (IRZA) — The body of Leija Herrera, well-known LGBT activist in Mexico, was found with his face badly beaten, apparently with a rock, causing his death.

El ombudsman guerrerenses sostuvo, que al momento en la Coddehum no se presentó ninguna queja por parte de familiares o denuncia de sus amigos; sin embargo, agregó por ello procedió a formular la petición al Procurador General de Justicia, López Rosas para que se inicie una averiguación previa y se detengan a los verdaderos responsables. Sostuvo que Quetzalcoatl Leija Herrera trabajó en algunos proyectos relacionados con la Ley de Convivencia y también la Ley Número 375 para Prevenir y Eliminar la Discriminación en el Estado de Guerrero, publicada en el Periódico Oficial del Estado, el 20 de febrero de 2009.
