Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation launches poster contest

LOS ANGELES -- Lady Gaga's recently launched Born This Way Foundation (BTWF) has launched a poster contest to engage supporters in its work.

"We are calling on anyone and everyone with the ability to think creatively to come up with a visual representation for the Born This Way Foundation," Lady Gaga's mother Cynthia Germanotta, who serves as co-founder and president of BTWF, said in an email.

In creating a poster, participants should think about designing an image that inspires, activates and moves people. "Most of all, it should give supporters a way to show their dedication to the Foundation," Germanotta said.

BTWF was founded by Gaga and Germanotta in 2011 as an effort to foster a more accepting society where differences are embraced and individuality is celebrated. The foundation says that it is dedicated to creating a safe community that helps connect young people with the skills and opportunities they need to build a braver, kinder world.

Poster submissions can be sent in any format, including a drawing, a design, or collage, as long they are 11x17 size, includes the Born This Way Foundation name, and answers the following question: What does bravery mean to you?

After the submission deadline of Wednesday, April 11, Lady Gaga and Germanotta will select 10 posters to become semifinalists, which will be voted on by the public.

Submissions can sent in HERE. Official contest rules are HERE.
